As you can see there are two company names listed in the title. The reason being is that the business has been built up from two separate companies, that now operate as one.
Please read on to find out more about Connellys Auto Repair Services, Macclesfield MOT & Service Centre and the combined business.
Connellys Auto Repair Services
This venture was established back in 1994 as a partnership of Paul & Sean Connelly. The aim was to establish itself as an independent service specialist for the Honda marque.
The ability to provide genuine Honda trained expertise with OEM quality parts at a cost effective price was success for all the local Honda owners. The free local collection & delivery service was also very popular.
As the business expanded all makes & models are now catered for, and 1997 saw the business move into larger premises and employed an additional technician to cope with the increasing workload.
Further expansion of the business has resulted in the acquisition in May 2000 of Cornend Limited that traded under the name Macclesfield MOT & Service Centre (see below).

Macclesfield MOT & Service Centre
This business was established in 1977 (see photo) and has been one of Macclesfield's major MOT testing stations ever since. So much so that it is the only approved station by the Macclesfield Council for the testing of all Private Hire and Hackney Carriages (Taxis !) in the borough. It has held this position for many years now and is something that it is proud to have.
Along with MOT testing, other areas of work carried out is the undertaking of MOT repairs, general vehicle repairs and servicing. Again, this applies to all makes & models of vehicle up to small van size.
In May 2000, after a successful time at the helm, the current owner took the decision to retire and sell the business he had established, but only to someone he knew would continue the good name and work he had created. We were pleased that he agreed to sell the business (Cornend Limited) to P & S Connelly.

Combined Business
It is now our task to build upon the success enjoyed by both businesses and to take it and the customer service offered to a new level.
Along with Paul & Sean, are two technicians, Andy Knowles and John Hatton who between them have more than 50+ years of experience in the automotive industry. Helping to add to this are trainee technicians Danny Clare and Dean Oldfield who are both studying for NVQ's at Stockport College on modern apprenticeships.
Paul, Sean and John are the resident MOT Nominated Testers. Paul's specialist area is the Honda marque. Andy has many years competition engine & gearbox building along with TVR & Rover. Sean also looks after the IT side of the business including electrical & electronic vehicle diagnostics.
